When your pet comes to stay at Bunnies Barn, we want it to be as comfortable stay as possible.
The smaller pets such as gerbils, hamsters, rats and chinchillas can be bought in the cage that they are used to although cages are available if required as it can be a problem transporting your pets normal cage if it is on the larger size.
For the boarding rabbits and guinea pigs I have available 6ft hutches for the rabbits and 4ft for the guinea pigs. Each cage is provided with water bottle, food bowl and numerous toys. If your furry friend does prefer his own items, then please feel free to bring them along. If your rabbit or guinea pig is an indoor pet, you may bring the cage your pet is used to although inside cages are available if required.
The cages are cleaned every other day whilst the toilet area is cleaned every day and I use, newspaper and straw/hay. Each time the hutch/cage is cleaned out they are fully wiped down with a pet disinfectant. Each hutch is fitted with locks to make sure there are no escapees!! On a night time, the boarders are put away in their hutch and covered with hutch covers, keeping them protected from any rain or wind and any unwanted guests.
For the rabbits/guinea pigs living in the hutches, they have access to a run on a daily basis. They are rotated as at the moment there are not enough runs to go around but soon there will be enough runs for each boarder therefore giving your pet access to the grass all day. Each run is also provided with toys for their entertainment.
